Privacy Policy

Overview

WarehouseWatcher is a price-tracking tool that monitors publicly available gold bar prices at major retailers and alerts you when premiums drop near the spot price. We are committed to keeping your data minimal and private.

Data We Collect

• Anonymous identifier — We use Supabase Anonymous Authentication to create a session. No email, password, name, or personal information is required to sign in, and the session itself carries none.
• Push notification token — If you enable push notifications, your device's Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token is stored so we can deliver price alerts. This token is a random device identifier and cannot be used to identify you personally.
• User preferences — Your alert threshold setting (e.g., premium percentage) is stored to customize notifications.
• Feedback you choose to send: The Settings page has a feedback form. If you use it, the message you write is sent to us. That form also has a name field and an email field, both optional, and whatever you type into them is sent with your message. You can leave both empty and the form still works.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No name, email address, or contact information, apart from what you type into the feedback form yourself
• No location data
• No browsing or usage analytics
• No financial or payment information
• No advertising identifiers

How We Use Your Data

The anonymous identifier and FCM token are used to deliver push notifications about price changes. User preferences are used to determine when to trigger alerts.

Feedback is used to fix bugs and decide what to build next. If you include an email address with your feedback, we use it for one thing only, which is replying to you about that feedback. We do not add it to a mailing list and we do not advertise to you. Because sign-in is anonymous, an email you type into the feedback form is the only way we can reach you. We do not use your data for any purpose beyond the ones described here.

Third-Party Services

We do not sell your data, and we do not share or transfer it to any third parties other than the services listed above.

Data Retention

FCM tokens are automatically removed when push delivery fails (e.g., app uninstalled). Anonymous session data and preferences are retained as long as the session is active. There is no account to delete — simply uninstalling the app removes your device token and ends your session.

Feedback is the exception. Once you submit the feedback form, your message is delivered to our Slack channel, along with any name and email you included, where it may be retained indefinitely. Uninstalling the app does not remove it.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
